Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 21, 2026
HappyPaint (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a browser-based painting application operated by Algorisys Technologies Pvt. Ltd. We designed it to keep your work and your data under your control. This policy explains what the app stores, what it does not do, and how the optional Google Drive connection works.
The short version
- Your drawings are stored locally, in your own browser.
- We do not run accounts, servers, or analytics that collect your artwork.
- Google Drive is optional. If you connect it, files are saved to your Drive — not to us — using a permission scope that only lets the app see files you create or open with it.
- We never sell your data, and we never use it to train any model.
Information the app stores
On your device
Your documents (layers, text, and metadata), saved brushes, color swatches, and app preferences are stored in your browser using IndexedDB and localStorage. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us. Clearing your browser storage for this site deletes it permanently.
In your Google Drive (only if you connect it)
If you use the Google Drive feature, the app requests the limited
drive.file scope. This scope grants access
only to files you create or explicitly open with HappyPaint — it
does not allow the app to see, read, or manage any other
files in your Drive. We use it to:
- Create a “HappyPaint” folder and save your drawings into it.
- List and open drawings you previously saved with the app.
Files saved this way live in your Google Drive under your Google account. We do not receive copies of them. We also read basic profile information (your name, email address, and avatar) from Google solely to show who is signed in; this stays in your browser.
Authentication tokens
Connecting Google Drive stores an access token in your browser so you don’t have to sign in repeatedly. The token is held locally and is used only to talk to Google’s APIs on your behalf. Disconnecting Drive, or clearing site storage, removes it.
How we use Google user data
HappyPaint’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We access Google Drive data only to provide the save/open features you initiate, we do not transfer it to others, and we do not use it for advertising or to train machine-learning models.
What we do not collect
- No user accounts on our servers — there is no HappyPaint login.
- No tracking of your drawings or activity for advertising.
- No sale or sharing of personal data with third parties.
Third-party services
When you choose to connect Google Drive, your interaction is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy. The app is delivered as static files; basic, anonymous request logs may be kept by the static host that serves it, as is standard for any website.
Your choices & control
- Use the app entirely offline without ever connecting Drive.
- Disconnect Google Drive at any time from within the app.
- Revoke the app’s Drive access from your Google Account permissions page.
- Delete all local data by clearing your browser’s storage for this site.
Children’s privacy
HappyPaint is a general-audience creative tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
